Victor Stanley Morrow was born Dec. 31, 1925, to Earl D. and Laura May Ruth (McCune) Morrow in the northern area of Greeley County, known as the Amity Area. He was raised in Greeley County, where he attended country grade school, Parnell School and graduated from Scotia High School in 1943. Victor received a farm deferment from World War II. He began farming and ranching in 1947 in the northwest area of Greeley County. On March 28, 1947, Victor was united in marriage to Letha Sowers at Smith Center, Kan. The couple spent most of their married life on the farm. In 1994 they moved into Ord. Vic remained active on the farm until his passing. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and NFO. He served on the Rural Fire Board of Scotia and Parnell School Board. His hobbies included collecting barbed wire and he loved horses. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Letha of Ord; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles and Karen of Topeka, Kan., and Donald of Ord; a daughter, Linda Patrick of Holdrege; five grandchildren and their spouses, Travis and Tina Patrick of Bartlett; Tina and Corey Wiese of Holdrege; Michelle Morrow and Bethany Morrow, both of Orange County, Calif.; and Jesse Morrow of Ord; five great-grandchildren, Zane, Alec, Cade, Clay and Brooklyn; and a sister, Lois Swanson of Ord. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Victor Morrow Jr.
