She was born on March 6, 1929 in Essexville, MI to the late Bernard and Evelyn (Neering) Van Wert. She married Carl Salois in 1949, preceding her in the death in 1986. Read More	SALOIS, Victoria A. of Pinconning, Michigan, age 82, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at Sheffield Bay with her family at her side. She was born on March 6, 1929 in Essexville, MI to the late Bernard and Evelyn (Neering) Van Wert. She married Carl Salois in 1949, preceding her in the death in 1986. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Past President of the St. Anne Altar Society, League of Catholic Men and Women, the VFW Auxiliary, Pinconning Chamber of Commerce, served on the Pinconning Area School Board and Chairman of Finance Council for St. Michael's Church and the Saginaw Diocese. Vicky was retired from First of America Bank after 44 .5 years of services as a Vice President and owned & operated the Roadside Zoo for many years. She will be remembered for her willingness to help her family and the community. She is survived by brothers and sisters: Bernice Zunick of Bay City, Bernard (Pat) Van Wert of Midland, Donald (Ann) Van Wert of Ney York, Donna Kruchowski of Pinconning, and Sharon (Ray) Skrabut of Pinconning, and several nieces and nephews. Vicky was predeceased by a sister Evelyn Gies. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 12 noon from St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak presiding with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday Victoria will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Michael's Church or the Northern Bay Community Foundation.
