Murphy Herber. Vicki married George Mark Sims Jr. on September 30, 1972. A 1968 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Vicki worked at Indian Hills Community College for 42 years as supervisor of student accounts, retiring in 2010. Murphy Herber. Vicki married George Mark Sims Jr. on September 30, 1972. A 1968 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Vicki worked at Indian Hills Community College for 42 years as supervisor of student accounts, retiring in 2010. Surviving is her husband, Mark; their sons, Matt Sims of Eddyville and Christopher J. Sims of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren, Dante, Delilah and Dominic; a brother, Scott T. (Roxanne) Herber of Centerville; two nieces, Erica Cooprider and Jessica Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael C. Herber. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 2nd at Reece Funeral Home. A Christian Wake service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, January 2nd at Reece Funeral Home followed by the family greeting friends until 3 p.m. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook Page. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday January 3rd at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hilgendorf presiding. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
