Description	:	Victoria Evalena Jones was born July 10, 1884, in Osborne County, the daughter of George and Catherine Jones. She had two sisters and one brother. She died in the Logan County Hospital March 10, 1976 at the age of 91 years 7 months and 29 days. She was married to Charles E. Murphy on Feb. 28, 1905, in Osborne. Read More	Victoria Evalena Jones was born July 10, 1884, in Osborne County, the daughter of George and Catherine Jones. She had two sisters and one brother. She died in the Logan County Hospital March 10, 1976 at the age of 91 years 7 months and 29 days. She was married to Charles E. Murphy on Feb. 28, 1905, in Osborne. To this union were born two children, Altie and Mildred. The family lived on a farm north of Alton until 1916, when they came to Thomas County for her husband's health and lived on a farm north of Rexford. She was a member of the United Brethren Church in Woodston until moving to Thomas County, where she was a charter member of the Rexford Community Church. "Grandma" Murphy accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age, and during all of her life she always thought of others before herself. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine Jones; husband Charles, on May 14, 1922; son Altie and his wife Leora; one brother, Lon Jones; and two sisters, Rosie Orr and Minnie McCall. Surviving are four generations: Mildred Dible and husband Leslie of Rexford, with whom she made her home for many years; grandchildren Carlene James of Oakley, Keith Dible and wife Delores, Gayle Dible and wife Phyllis of Rexford, Donna Dimock and husband Larry of Lompoc, Calif,; great-grandchildren Lynda James of Denver, Myron James of Pittsburg, Pa.; Robert James and wife Pam of Colby, Darla, Darrel, DeAnn, Larry and Gary Dible of Rexford, and Scott, Rodney and Eddie Dimock of Lompoc, Calif.; great-great-grandchildren Laury and Lisa James of Colby. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Vi Loff of Sonora, Calif.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
