Description	:	Victoria M. (Johnson) Youngson, 94, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Kearney County Health Services Long Term Care Unit in Minden. Graveside services were held Monday at the Minden Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hunter officiating. Mrs. Youngson was born Dec. 31, 1906, to Charles and Hilda Johnson in Norman. She grew up on the family farm near Norman. At age 16 she graduated from Minden High School. She then taught for three years at a country school in Kearney County. (Johnson) Youngson, 94, died Thursday, May 3, 2001, at Kearney County Health Services Long Term Care Unit in Minden. Graveside services were held Monday at the Minden Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Bill Hunter officiating. Mrs. Youngson was born Dec. 31, 1906, to Charles and Hilda Johnson in Norman. She grew up on the family farm near Norman. At age 16 she graduated from Minden High School. She then taught for three years at a country school in Kearney County. On May 21, 1926, she married Charles R. Youngson. They lived on a farm near Holdrege for a short time and then moved to Norman to farm. In 1944 they moved to Minden. She and her husband farmed and ran livestock sale barns in Minden, Crete and Hastings. In the early 1970s they retired. In 1992 her husband died. She was a member of Minden United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and Danish Brotherhood. Survivors are one daughter, Renee Amick of Doniphan; and one grandchild. She also was preceded in death by one son, Charles W. two sisters; and one grandchild.
