Description	:	Vina Lou Stanley Griffin Mrs. Vina Lou Stanley Griffin of North Highway 81 in Westville, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006, after a brief illness. She was 93. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Geneva with the Revs. Ken Harrison and Jack Faircloth officiating. Mrs. Griffin was born Feb. 5, 1913, in Holmes County, Fla., to the late Dady Perry and Olive Viola Royals Stanley. She retired from the Holmes County School system after teaching several years at Ponce de Leon Elementary. Her love for children was shown through her many dedicated years of teaching. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. She was a Democrat and West Pittman Baptist Church was blessed to have her as a member. In addition to her parents, her husband, George Otha Griffin Sr., a son, George Otha Griffin Jr. "Little Otha,"as well as a brother and sister, Barnard Stanley and Laura Stanley Henderson, all preceded her in death. Survivors include four daughters, Ola Dolores Griffin Branch of Tallahassee, Fla., Sarah Frances Griffin Cooey, Joyce Gay Griffin Burgess (Buck), all of Westville, Salina Faye Griffin Ditch (Bill) of Callaway, Fla.; two sons, William Gerald Griffin (Sarah Elizabeth) and Michael Stanley Griffin (Monica), all of Westville; one sister, Ola Jean LeSueur, of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Perry D. Stanley (Pauline), of Westville; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
