Vincent George Miller, the son of Levi and Josephine G. (Kimminau) Miller, was born on a farm near Cunningham, Kansas. He passed away on September 25, 2002 at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 24 days. Vince was one of 10 children. He was baptized at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Willowdale, KS. He attended rural school at St. Stephen's, Lawrence, NE. He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church 72 years. Vince farmed his entire life. He enjoyed going to town and visiting with family and friends. He had a special talent in remembering names of each family member. He was a "Special Uncle" to all his nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, brother-in-law William Rowley, nephews, Joe Miller, Edward Francis Miller, and Greg Lohaus. Survivors include his sisters Bernice E. Miller of Lawrence, Rita M. Miller of Hastings, Nebraska, Betty L. Mazour and her husband Jerome of Nelson, Nebraska, Rosemary Rowley of Hastings, Nebraska, Margaret A. Hulet and husband Glen of Montague, Michigan, and brothers, Alfred J. and his wife Agnes of Guide Rock, Wilfred H. and his wife Helen of Superior, Nebraska, Bernard J. and his wife Joan of Shickley, Nebraska and Eugene Miller of Lawrence, Nebraska, may nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Lector was Joe Brockman; the Altar Servers were Nick Miller, Nathan Drohman, Brian Rempe and Patrick Webb. Music was "Keep in Mind", "On Eagle's Wings," "Here I Am Lord", and "Be Not Afriad, with Marie Kimminau as song leader and Judy Schroer as organist. Rosary Service was held on Friday, September 27, 2002 at 7:30 PM from St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Lawrence, Nebraska. Pallbearers were Leland Miller, Richard Mazour, Ivan Miller, Daniel Mazour, Jim Miller, and Jerry Miller. Honorary Pallbearers were Arnold Miller, Michael Miller, John Mazour, Donald Mazour, Tony Rowley, Mark Hulet and Raymond Hulet. Interment was in St.Stephen's Cemetery at Lawrence, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given for Masses and family wishes. Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, Nebraska was in charge of arrangements.
