She passed away January 12, 1969, at the Fillmore County hospital after a long illness at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 26 days. She attended rural schools near Geneva and graduated from Geneva high school in 1910. She then attended the Normal School in Geneva. Read More	EATON, VINETTA MAE—Vnetta Mae Miller, daughter of Abraham and Mary Foster Miller, was born April 16, 1889, near Geneva, Neb. She passed away January 12, 1969, at the Fillmore County hospital after a long illness at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 26 days. She attended rural schools near Geneva and graduated from Geneva high school in 1910. She then attended the Normal School in Geneva. She taught school for several years, and then worked in a bank and at a lumber yard in Geneva. She was married to Fred Eaton, December 8, 1920, and they made their home in Geneva, operating a greenhouse a number of years. She joined the Christian church and later transferred to the United Brethren church. She probably held membership in the Rebekah Lodge longer than any other living member and was a member of the Past Noble Grand club. She was a member of the Degree of Honor. She also belonged to the Jolly Neighbors in Geneva. Mrs. Eaton loved her flowers and garden, being always interested in nature and growing things. She was a good neighbor. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband in 1939. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Spangler of Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. Worth Fisher of Lincoln, Neb., and one brother, Ross L. Miller of Nashua, Ia., by three step-children, George Eaton of Lincoln, Mrs. Rees Clark and Vaughn Eaton, both of California and by seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Tuesday, January 14. Rev. Paul W. Walker officiated. Raymond Cartwright sang “How Great thou Art” and “Nearer My God to Thee.” Mrs. Oscar Nelson was accompanist. Pallbearers were Clair Christiancy, Ben Fussell, Orville Hafer, Francis Nunns, Robert Nunns and Wilson Miller. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal January 23rd, 1969 page 9.
