Asthma is Fatal to Matron, 73

Mrs. Vinnie Baird, 73, died Sunday of asthma at her home in Ballantine.

Mrs. Baird had been ill with asthma for several years. She was born Feb. 24, 1876, in Elk Creek, Neb., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter L. Gue. She was married Dec. 30, 1903 to William C. Baird, who died July 10, 1943 in Ballantine.

They moved to Montana in 1908, homesteading four and a half miles northwest of Worden. In 1929 they settled in Ballantine.
