She attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton and then remained at home to help her parents. On June 9, 1947 Viola was united in marriage with Joseph Bernard Starman at Holy Angels Church in Roselle. They lived on a farm south of Roselle and were the parents of five children. They eventually moved into Roselle. Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Viola Christina (Siepker) Starman was born on Thursday; March 31, 1921 on a farm near Templeton, Eden Township, Carroll County, Iowa. She attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton and then remained at home to help her parents. On June 9, 1947 Viola was united in marriage with Joseph Bernard Starman at Holy Angels Church in Roselle. They lived on a farm south of Roselle and were the parents of five children. They eventually moved into Roselle. Viola was a homemaker; however, in 1972 she started working at General Electric in Carroll. She retired in 1987. Viola was a member of Holy Angels Parish in Roselle. In her spare time she enjoyed Bingo, traveling to the casinos and playing cards. In 1997 Viola's husband Joe died and she moved to Carroll. When her health began to fail, she became a resident of the Carroll Health Center in 2003. Viola Christina (Siepker) Starman, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her four children: Darlene Starman and special friend Nick of Scottsdale, AZ; Betty Jean ‘Liz' Schaefer and special friend Fritz Short of Carroll; Jerome ‘Jerry' Starman and wife Beth Huebner-Starman of Carroll; and Merle Starman and wife Sharon of State Center; two granddaughters Renee and husband Troy Haberl of Cave Creek, AZ and Katrina Warren of Sioux Falls, SD; brother George Siepker of Gray; brother-in-law Ted Starman of Carroll; sisters-in-law Hilary Siepker of Fonda and Louise Starman of Carroll; other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents; husband; daughter Denise in infancy; three brothers Nick Siepker; John Siepker and wife Rita; and Ed Siepker and wife Marie; sister Marie and husband Andrew Eischeid; and sister-in-law Marie Siepker. May they rest in peace. Visitation and Prayers will be on Monday; March 8, 2010, After -3:30 p.m. at the Ohde Twit Funeral Home. A Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday; March 8, 2010 at the at Holy Angels Church in Roselle; Carroll County, Iowa. Interment will be at the Holy Angels Cemetery in Carroll, Iowa.
