Description	:	Viola Eileen Huston was born December 15, 1920, in rural Jones County, near Scotch Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Lucy (Dodge) Huston. She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1938 and Teacher's College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Viola taught school in rural Scotch Grove and Madison Center in earlier years. She married Ronald Hanna on May 31, 1944, at the United Methodist Church in Wyoming, Iowa. He died on November 28, 1989. Viola farmed alongside her husband Northeast of Onslow. She was a member of the Onslow First Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, member of the Women's Guild and Church Session. She was a 4-H leader for many years. She was also a member of the Claytonian Club (a women's neighborhood group) and enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, playing cards and gardening, but her biggest fulfillment in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother. Viola is survived by her children, Roger (Beth) Hanna of West Des Moines, Kenneth Hanna & Daryl Hanna of Onslow, & Lois Biggs of Johnston; 4 grandchildren, Stacy Hanna, Will Hanna, Tyler & Jeremy Biggs; one brother, Paul Huston of Clarence; & a sister-in-law, Mildred Huston of Wapello. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an infant daughter, two sisters and two brothers. Viola E. Hanna, 90, of Onslow, Iowa, died Wednesday evening, December 15, 2010, at her home.
