Read More	Viola Faye Zerfoss, age 92, of Wessington, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center at Miller. Viola Faye Dague was born January 1, 1916, to John and Violet (Van Cleve) Dague at Poplar, Minnesota. At the age of eight, her family moved to Beadle County, South Dakota. She attended country school through the 8th grade and then worked as a housekeeper for various families as she grew up. On January 1, 1938, Faye married Metsel "Metz" Zerfoss at Huron. After their marriage they moved to Estherville, Iowa where they farmed for five years. In 1942, they moved to the Wessington area where they farmed and Metsel worked as a mechanic. Faye was a lifetime homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Faye took pride in caring and cooking for her family. She was a former member of the Turtle Creek Ladies Aid and later belonged to the BYY'S extension club. For a number of years she was a member of the Wolsey Presbyterian Church and in her later years attended the Church of Nazarene in Miller. Faye moved from the farm to an apartment in Wessington in September 1993. In September 2005, she entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Metsel on August 17, 1993; one son, Roger on July 4, 1961; three brothers, Willard, Duane and Dale Dague; and three sisters, Fern Zerfoss, Glee Almond and Helen Sargent. Grateful for having shared her life are her three sons, Jerold and his wife, Joyce Zerfoss of Wessington, David and his wife, Janelle Zerfoss of Wessington and Neil Zerfoss and his special friend, Jackie Fritz of Edgemont; two daughters, Janice and her husband, Larry Arbogast of Miller and Lynette and her husband, Michael Hopkins of Aurora, Colorado; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
