Description	:	Viola Christianson July 20, 1924 - January 23, 2005 Viola Helena Christianson, 80, of Smithland, Iowa, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton, where she had resided for the past two and one-half years. Viola was born July 20, 1924 in Norway, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Mithilda Frimml. She married Clarence Christianson on April 19, 1969 in Newton, Iowa. Viola was born July 20, 1924 in Norway, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Mithilda Frimml. She married Clarence Christianson on April 19, 1969 in Newton, Iowa. Vi always enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and crocheting. Survivors include a son, Lynn A. Schulte and his wife, Falyn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two daughters, Diana Weems and husband Larry of Vinton, Iowa and Cindy Carson and husband Terry of Fairfax, Iowa; step-children, Richard, Larry, Robert and Albert Christianson; Betty Klinker, Roberta Nerison, and Karen Booker; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Richard Schulte, husband, Clarence Christianson in February 2, 2002; five brothers, Lloyd, Gilbert, Everitt, Clem and Arlo Frimml; and two sisters, Mildred Loher and Arlene Brecht. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oto, Iowa with Msgr. Mark Duchaine, Mass Celebrant. The organist was Bonnie Kane and the selections were "How Great Thou Art" and "Take My Hand Precious Lord". Casket Bearers were Michael Crow, Brian Weems, Brad Weems, and Clayton Kluver. Interment was in the Little Sioux Township Cemetery, Smithland, Iowa.
