Description	:	VIOLA BOECKEL, 92, of Bismarck, formerly of Beulah died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Baptist Home, Bismarck. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CST on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Beulah with Pastor Aron Utecht officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Read More	VIOLA BOECKEL, 92, of Bismarck, formerly of Beulah died Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Baptist Home, Bismarck. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM CST on Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church. Viola was born May 31, 1920 to Emma Nesper and Edward Isaak. She lived and went to school through eighth grade in Zap. She married Thomas Boeckel on May 29, 1937 and they lived in Zap for a time where Thomas worked for the strip mine. Viola and Tom later farmed between Zap and Beulah for many years before moving into Beulah in 1972. After Tom died, Viola continued to live in Beulah until she moved to the Baptist Home in Bismarck in 2000. She was an active farm wife with a large family, gardening, pickling, canning, baking and sewing along with numerous farm chores. She was active in the homemakers club for many years and, after moving to Beulah, she was active in the church choir and ladies activities at the Immanuel Baptist Church. Viola was a loving and devoted mother. She was the mother of 10 children, nine lived to adulthood. She had 26 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, daughter, Joyce Dierkes, infant daugher, Judy, two grandsons, Mark Skalsky and Michael Thorpe.
