Description	:	Viola Miller was born August 21, 1928 in Stark County, daughter of Rone and Kathryn (Zentner) Miller. She grew up and attended county schools and graduated from Belfield High School. Viola attended business school in Fargo where she received her certificate. On November 26, 1946 Viola married Pete Kordonowy. She took on the responsibility of a ready-made family and this union was blessed with 6 more children. They raised their family on the Kordonowy farm north of Belfield. Read More	Viola Miller was born August 21, 1928 in Stark County, daughter of Rone and Kathryn (Zentner) Miller. She grew up and attended county schools and graduated from Belfield High School. Viola attended business school in Fargo where she received her certificate. On November 26, 1946 Viola married Pete Kordonowy. She took on the responsibility of a ready-made family and this union was blessed with 6 more children. They raised their family on the Kordonowy farm north of Belfield. Much cooking and canning goes into raising a large family, but with many little hands helping shell peas or husk corn, the work gets done even with the talk and giggling that goes with it. Their reward was homemade bread and jelly topped off with a glass of cold milk. Viola helped teach a CCD class to children at the Dennis School, was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Regina Guild and was past President of Christian Mothers Guild in Belfield. In 1979 Viola made her home in Bismarck where she worked in sales at Sears and K-Mart. During this time she spent many hours sewing, reading, playing the piano and accordion, league bowling and volunteering at the YMCA. She loved traveling to her children's homes, especially to see her grandchildren. A highlight of her travels was a trip to Alaska. Viola is survived by her 2 sons, Arnoul and Ron; 7 daughters, Pat, Linda, Carlotta, LaVetta, Tena, Wanda and Myra; 19 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Leo; and a sister, Eleanor.
