She was united in marriage to Ernest Little on September 12, 1937 in Bushnell, SD. After their marriage they farmed east of Aurora, SD. She was united in marriage to Ernest Little on September 12, 1937 in Bushnell, SD. After their marriage they farmed east of Aurora, SD. Viola had fond memories of driving her own tractor along side Ernest throughout the years that they farmed. 1957, they moved into Brookings due to Ernest's health. After moving into Brookings they enjoyed becoming caregivers to Jodi Gill. It was a bond they nurtured and treasured until the day Viola died. Ernest died on July 1, 1975 in Brookings, SD. She enjoyed dancing, card and board games, gardening, canning, cooking, visiting and entertaining family and friends and spoiling the family dog "Frisco", who spent countless hours each day on her lap or not far from her side. This memorial provided by: Rude's Funeral Home Brookings, SD She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Alice Anderson, brothers Clarence and Elmer Lynch, brother-in-law Alfred Anderson and sister-in-law Harriett Lynch.
