Viola was born Dec. 21, 1936, in Turtle Lake, the daughter of August and Sophie (Fandrich) Walcker. She attended Turtle Lake High School and graduated from there in 1955. She married Elroy Ben Reiswig on July 31, 1955, in Turtle Lake. That same year, they moved to New Orleans where their first son was born, the first of six children. Two more sons and three daughters were also born. They then moved to McClusky to farm for two years. They also lived in Bismarck and Lincoln, Neb., for a short time before moving to Minot in 1960. She was employed at Target for several years while managing Jefferson Trailer Park. Being an avid sports fan, one of her favorite pastimes was bowling. She was city bowling secretary for 14 years, and was inducted in the hall of fame for bowling. Another hobby she enjoyed immensely was fishing. Viola is survived by her husband, Elroy Reiswig, Minot; her sons, Rick and his wife Judy and their two children, Leslie and Krista, all of Omaha, Neb., Mark Reiswig and Jody and his wife Pam and their two children, Heather and Shannon and his wife Mandy and their newborn, Alaijah, all of Minot; her daughters, Paula Reiswig, Penny Reiswig and her three children, FaLynn, Shane and Shaylee, and Cindee Hutchins and her husband Mike and their son, Brandon, all of Minot; her brothers, Richard Walcker and his wife Joyce, Waldport, Ore., Allan Walcker and his wife Peggy, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Gerald Walcker and his wife Leona, West Bend, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Sophie Walcker; and a brother, Victor Walcker. The family wishes to thank the hospice nurses for the great care and support they provided during this trying time.
