She had been ill since February. A retired telephone operator, she was born May 1, 1901, in Illinois, the daughter of Reice McNeil and Leona DAVIS WRIGHT. Her marriage was on Jan. 27, 1923, in St. Joseph, Mich., to Ernest E. STEFFEY. He died Dec. 22, 1958. Mrs. Steffey had lived here since September 1944, moving from Hammond. Steffey Final rites for Mrs. Viola Mae STEFFEY, 67, 1219 Lakeshore drive, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. The Rev. Meredith WILFONG will officiate and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today. Mrs. Steffey died at 2:35 a.m. Friday in Woodlawn hospital, where she was admitted July 17. Born in Pennfield, Ill., May 1, 1901, she had lived in Rochester since Sept. 18, 1944. She was a member of the Rochester First Baptist church and the Eastern Star. Surviving are two sons, Leo [STEFFEY], Indianapolis, and Howard [STEFFEY], Des Moines, Ia.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Leota FEHLBERG, Des Moince, and Mrs. Coral STEFFEY, Pine River, Minn.
