Description	:	Mrs. John Joustra passed away Sunday night, January 4, 1942 at her home northwest of Akron, IA. She had been seriously ill from a stroke previous to her death. Viola O. Blomberg was born in Union County, S.D., on February 8, 1898. On July 16, 1929, she was united in marriage with John L. Joustra. Four children were born to this union. The family first lived in LeMars, IA., making their home there for three years. Then they located near Akron in 1933. In 1935 they moved to a farm in Sioux Valley township, Union county, S.D., and to... Read More	Mrs. John Joustra passed away Sunday night, January 4, 1942 at her home northwest of Akron, IA. She had been seriously ill from a stroke previous to her death. Viola O. Blomberg was born in Union County, S.D., on February 8, 1898. On July 16, 1929, she was united in marriage with John L. Joustra. Four children were born to this union. The family first lived in LeMars, IA., making their home there for three years. Then they located near Akron in 1933. In 1935 they moved to a farm in Sioux Valley township, Union county, S.D., and to their present farm, four miles southwest of the Big Springs church, in 1941. Viola was baptized May 21, 1909, and united with the Big Springs Baptist church. She was a fine Christian woman and faithful to her God, her church and her home. She will be deeply missed in the family circle. Those left to mourn: Her husband and four children: Arlene, Jack, Jerrine and Jeanita; step-children: Mrs. Noris (Cleo) Winquist, Clifford and Delbert Joustra; Step-father and mother: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence (Cora) Waterbury; a brother, David Blomberg; a half-brother, Vernon Waterbury; a foster-brother, Leland Blomberg; and numereous other relatives and many friends. May the peace of God rest over her memory. Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon in the Big Springs Baptist church. Interment was in the Riverside cemetery, Akron, IA.
