Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Zion American Lutheran Church, Eureka, with Pastor Ryan Gage leading the service. Interment follows in the church cemetery. Read More	Violet Pfeifle, 81, Eureka, died Sunday, April 06, 2014, at her home. Violet Esther Aipperspach was born at Zeeland, North Dakota, on February 07, 1933. Violet was very young when her mother died and she was then adopted by her aunt and uncle, Esther (Aipperspach) and Ruben Kurle. She attended country school in mcPherson County and also attended Eureka High School. Violet married Norman W. Pfeifle on February 18, 1951, at the Eureka EUB Church. They made their home together on the family farm northeast of Eureka. In 1979, their son took over the farm and Violet and Norman Moved into Aberdeen. For 25 years, Violet was employed as the janitor at farm Credit Services in Aberdeen. She also cleaned private homes in the area for years. Norman died June 16, 2013, and shortly after that, Violet relocated to Eureka, where she lived the rest of her life. She spent lots of time crafting and painted all the wood projects and toys that were made for her grandkids. She loved gardening, canning vegetables, and making baked treats from the apple tree in her yard. Violet especially cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Grateful for having shared Violet's life are her son, Dennis (Leona) Pfeifle of Eureka; two granddaughters, Sarah (Shawn) Person of Groton, South Dakota, and Amber (Todd) Weber of Aberdeen; two great-grandsons, Devin and Jordin Weber of Aberdeen; and three sisters, Mae (Clarence) Reiger of Bismarck, Loretta Fry of Charlottesville, North Carolina, and Roberta (Ted) Vander Sluis of Anacortes, Washington. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, her father, Ruben, on July 18, 1995, and her mother, Esther, on January 10, 2011, her husband, one sister, and one brother. Casket bearers will be Rod Joachim, James Pfeifle, and John Jundt, all of Eureka, Shawn Person and Dustin Fish of Groton, and Clyde Pfeifle of Timber Lake, South Dakota. Lien-Straub Funeral Chapel, Eureka. Note: Esther was the daughter of Otto Aipperspach and Friedericka Weisser. Memorial number of Friedericka 20731742.
