Description	:	CENTRAL CITY — Violet F. “Vie” Munn, 95, of Central City died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City, with Pastor Delano Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Read More	CENTRAL CITY — Violet F. “Vie” Munn, 95, of Central City died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Bryan Medical Center East in Lincoln. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City, with Pastor Delano Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Violet was born on June 29, 1921, in Polk to Clyde H. and Ruth A. (Tinker) Green. She grew up in the Polk area, attending grade school at District 46 and graduating from Polk High School in 1938. She then met Clarence A. Munn, and the two would be united in marriage on Nov. 28, 1941, in Clay Center. After their marriage they moved to Sycamore, Ill., for a few years, then in the mid-1940s they would move their family to Central City. While in Central City, Vie worked as a waitress as well as a kitchen worker for the Central City Public Schools. She worked for the school for 15 years until her retirement. Vie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Central City. She had many hobbies, including bowling, where she got to perform on TV for several weeks. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards, traveling and was an avid letter writer. Her greatest loves were being able to dance and getting to spend time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Larry (Judy) Munn of Falls City, Carol (Ed) Buresh of Great Falls, Mont., Jerry (Betsy) Munn of Des Moines, Iowa, and Shirley (Bob) White of Florence, Ariz.; a sister, Arlene Ekland of Bradshaw; and nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents, Ruth and Clyde Green; a brother, Homer Green; sisters, Geneva Rosser and Virginia Rummery; and her special friends and dancing partners, Bob Coker and Les Baasch.
