Mrs. DEVRIES was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Sadie OILER, Mrs. Bertha TONEY, Mrs. L. O. WEST, of Garner; Mrs. Joe EVERSALL, of Stuart; Mrs. Rhea, FETTY, and Mrs. Ed BUCKHOLDT, of Pasadena, Calif. Funeral services were conducted at the Rhodes Funeral Home in Mt, Ayr, Saturday, and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Lamoni. Those from Lamoni who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Raymond OILER, Mr. and Mrs. Quentin OILER, Mr. and Mrs. Harold OILER, Mrs. Sadie OILER, Mr. and I Mrs., Frank TONEY and Jay TONEY. NOTE: Violet fell at the courthouse where she had gone to sign papers. Carl had committed himself into the psychiatric facility at Clarinda due to stress and depression brought on by worries over their farming financial situation, and was seeking assistance. He was unable to attend Violet's funeral. Violet was born December 17, 1904, and died March 10, 1949 at the Union Hospital, Creston, Iowa. Her sisters Frances and Pauline were omitted from the obituary.
