Vi was born Oct. 3, 1934, in Roundup, MT., to Peter and Alma Noll. Vi was raised by her grandparents, Anna and Bernt Rostad in Flatwillow, where she attended grade school. She attended high school in Winnett. On Oct. 6, 1952, she married Wendell Kincheloe in Lewistown, MT. Wendell and Vi made their home in Melstone, MT. area where they raised five children. Vi's time was devoted to her family and the ranch where they raised cows, sheep, and horses. She was an avid sports fan, enjoying horseracing, basketball, football and rodeo to name a few. When she was not at a sporting event, you could find Vi working crossword puzzles, collecting bears, cooking and baking and spending time with family. It was not uncommon for friends and neighbors to show up unexpected and Vi would welcome them into her home. She always had an open invitation for a home cooked meal. She will be remembered for being on the side lines at nearly every Melstone Broncs event and being "Grandma" to everyone. Vi is survived by her five children, Donna (Jim) Pinkerton of Melstone, MT., Art (Yvonne) Kincheloe of Melstone, Renita Hert of Billings, MT., Rob (Geri) Kincheloe of Miles City, MT., Wendy Saunders of Big Timber, MT., and adopted son, Allen Lee McDaniel of Melstone. She is also survived by sister, Annie Shaw of Mosby, MT and brother Ted Noll of Modesto, CA.; uncle, Ivor (Edna) of Missoula, MT.; aunt, Ursula Rostad of Sacramento, CA.; aunt, Sig Drinkard of Kennewick, WA.; sister-in-laws, Mavis Kincheloe of Melstone, Virginia Jennaway of Melstone, Eleanor Kincheloe of Clarmore, OK., Sherrill Nielson of Hasting, NB., and Dorothy (Keith) Hendrix of Orem, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Vi has 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell of 39 years; sister Ruth Sims; her parents and grandparents; numerous uncles and nieces; and grandson, Travis Wendell Saunders. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at the Wier Funeral Chapel in Roundup, MT. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Melstone Community Center. Burial will be in the Melstone Cemetery, Melstone, MT. A luncheon following the burial will be served by the Melstone Bible Church Ladies. Memorial may be made to the Petroleum County EMTs or charity of one's choice.
