Description	:	Winifred—Violet Louise (Noll) Foster, 90 passed away in Great Falls on February 18, 2015 after a short illness. Violet was born east of Winifred, Montana on the homestead on July 20, 1924 to Martin & Mabel (Ennaas) Noll. Her family later moved west of Suffolk on Salt Creek. Violet began school at the Balky Horse School, which is now the Community Church in Suffolk. She graduated from Fergus High School in 1942 and worked for First National Bank and Woolworth's Five and Dime store. Read More	Winifred—Violet Louise (Noll) Foster, 90 passed away in Great Falls on February 18, 2015 after a short illness. Violet was born east of Winifred, Montana on the homestead on July 20, 1924 to Martin & Mabel (Ennaas) Noll. Her family later moved west of Suffolk on Salt Creek. Violet began school at the Balky Horse School, which is now the Community Church in Suffolk. She graduated from Fergus High School in 1942 and worked for First National Bank and Woolworth's Five and Dime store. She married Everett Foster in 1944 at the Presbyterian Church in Hilger, Montana after Everett returned from WWII. They ranched at Roy Junction and near Brooks, the family later moved to Belgrade and Townsend. They moved to Suffolk in 1961. While at Suffolk she served on the School Board and taught Sunday school, had a bible study class in her home, was a 4-H leader and belonged to the Salt Creek Home Demonstration Club. Violet began working in 1968 at the Winifred Café as "the pie lady". In 1969, Everett and Violet moved to Winifred. Everett passed away in 1972. Violet continued working at the Winifred Café until she retired at the age of 70. While in Winifred she stayed active, serving as an officer in the American Legion, both local and district. She belonged to the American Lutheran Church and was active in the Winifred Garden Club. Her mother, Mabel Noll lived with Violet until her passing in 1987, Lew Fleege her companion and friend was with her until his passing. She moved to Great Falls to be near her daughter and family in 2009. Violet is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren, seven great-Grandchildren, her sister, two brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Everett Foster, her parents Martin and Mable Noll, grandparents, John and Inga Ennaas, brother, Ken Noll and sister, Connie, and friend Lew Fleege.
