Iowa, died Sunday evening at the home of her son, Jack, of Oklahoma City, Okla. Death came after a heart attack. She had left Oumwa Friday for Oklahoma City. MRS. Lathrop was born in Council Bluffs, March 23, 1909, the daughter of Jap and Jennie Smith. Survivors include her husband, six sons, Harold and Roberts, of Ottumwa, Jack and Norman, of Oklahoma City, Charles of Des Moines, and thomas serving with the Army at Ft. Polk, La.; two daughters, Jennie and Ethel, at home and ten grandchildren. Mrs. Jennie Smith, her mother, is another survivor, as are four sisters, Mrs. Babe Rock, Mrs. Sarah Frecse, and Floss, all of Washington stae, and Miss Clara Smith, of Oklahoma, and two brothers, Harold Smith of Washington state and John Smith, Des Moines. The casket will be reutrned to the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Lathrop Service The service for Mrs. Violet L. Lathrop, 53, of 142 S. Iowa Ave. who died Sunday evening at the home of her son Jack in Oklahoma City, Okla., will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral chapel; Rev. A. D. Pringle, pastor of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Eakins, David Eakins, Robert Parks, Walter R.
