Description	:	Funeral services for Violet May Spahn were held Saturday, March 5, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, Naper, Nebraska with the Rev. Barry Rempp officiating. Music was provided by the United Church of Christ Choir singing and Beverly Zink, organist. Michelle Schultze and Lora Cline were in charge of registration. Casket bearers were Harry Swallow, Darrell Juracek, Mike Stahlecker, Gary Hoyt, Larry Koehn, and Marvin Cline. Violet May Spahn was born March 9, 1901, in a sod home in Keya Paha County to Bert and Ella (Kirst) Hoyt and died in Emanuel Hospital, Turlock, California on February 27, 1988 at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 18 days. Violet was united in marriage to Henry Spahn at, at Butte, Nebraska on March 28, 1923 and to this union on son was born. They lived on a farm near Naper until 1945 when they moved to California. After her husband's death in 1961, she made her home with her son, Eugene, at Ceres California until the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers. Violet is survived by her son, Eugene of Ceres, California, three grandchildred, Terry Spahn, Tammy Spahn, and Trudy McRae, all of Ceres, one great-grandson, Keven Muller of Ceres, two sisters: Marvel of Laughlin, Nevada and Mary of Norfolk, Nebraska and a host of other relatives and friends. -------------------------
