She married James "Hub" Demaree on June 29, 1935,at Minot, ND. Following their marriage they farmed in Newman Township for a time and in 1941 they moved to Rolling Green Township where they farmed and also farmed in Tolgen Township, both Ward County. In 1979 they retired and moved to Minot, but maintained their farming interests. James died on August 25, 1989. Violet continued to live in Minot until the time of her death. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Minot, ND Survivors: Daughter, Vivian R. Myers and her husband William, Minot; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; W. Darroll Myers and his wife Joan and their children,Stephen, Jeremy and Shane; Dallas Myers and his wife Linda and their children,Laurie, Wendy and Jonathan; Dwight Myers and his children, Chad and Chasity;Dean Myers and his wife Cathie and their children, Christina, Mark and Alicia;Dale Myers and his wife Jodi and their children Pamela, Melanie, Matthew,Michelle and Mitchell; Darcy Myers and his wife Kari and their children,Delton, Josh, Tonya, and Amber; Darin Myers and his wife Carmen and their children, Zachary, Jared, and Shaniah; and Dee Ann Schmidt and her husband Charles and their children, Kyle and Emily. She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Hub" Demaree; parents; brothers, Truse Olson and Charles "Wilmar" Ekstrom; sisters, Inez Holst, Luella Fluhrer, and Orpha Hellickson. Funeral: Friday, July 28, 2000, at 10:30 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, Minot, ND. Visitation: Thursday, (today) July 27, 2000, from noon to 8:30 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Burial: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND Officiant: Rev.
