Description	:	NORFOLK -- Vionne M. Forsch, 84, of Norfolk died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel. The Rev. She was born May 23, 1927, at Naper to Jacob and Katherina (Boes) Berg and was baptized at Naper and confirmed July 6, 1941, at a Lutheran church in Naper. Survivors include two daughters; three siblings, sister Juliette Broekemeier of Central City, brother Albert Berg of Omaha, brother Larry and wife Marcia Berg of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband Earl Harold in January 2009; one granddaughter, Shelee; four siblings, Henry Berg, Alta Small, Eileen Webber, Dorothy Belcher; one son-in-law, Marlen Boldt. Vionne M. Forsch was born on May 23, 1927, on the family farm to Jacob and Kathrina (Boes) Berg in Naper. She attended country school from first to eighth grade. Vi's oldest sister was her only teacher throughout the majority of her early education. Vi was able to attend Naper High School by staying in town during the week and returning to the farm for weekend chores. The family would go to town on Saturday nights for fun and always went to church on Sunday mornings. After graduating in 1944, Vionne moved to Norfolk where she began work at the Norfolk Regional Center in 1944. She shared an apartment with her sister Eileen in the employees building of the Regional Center. Two years later, Dr. Eaton asked her to become his dental assistant. Having no experience in the field, she quickly completed the courses needed to enter the field. On July 13, 1946, after his return from World War II and his dismissal from the Navy, she married Earl Harold Forsch in Stanton County. After a few years they moved to Idaho where they would reside for two years. Vionne gave birth to their oldest daughter Brenda. They soon moved back to Norfolk where Cynthia was born. Vi resumed working at the Regional Center. During her time there she worked for three dentists, Dr. Eaton, Dr. Ziegenbein and most recently Dr. C. Wilber. She retired in August 2008, bringing to a close over 60 years of continuous employment at the same office. Earl died in January 2009. They were married for 62 years. Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed attending dances with Earl, spending time with her siblings and friends, family vacations in their motor home to the West Coast, cooking, and she especially cherished time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
