Mrs. Cardin was born May 17, 1926, in Stanley to the late Isaac Newton and Virgie Mary Jenkins. Mrs. Cardin was faithful to her church, Redeeming Love Fellowship, for many years and was a homemaker who enjoyed her family,flowers and gardening. On Nov. 30,1946, she married Owen Clinton Cardin, who preceded her in death Dec. 5,1985.
