Virgil Dean Nielsen, 82, of Gibbon died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at his home. Virgil was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Mason City to Marie Nielsen.
On May 9, 1992, he married Janette Beans in Minden.
Survivors are: his wife; daughters, Diane of Omaha and Karen of Gibbon; sister, Deloris Krichau of Ravenna; 11 grandchildren; stepson, Brian Shumate of Kearney; stepdaughter, Tammy Miller of Grand Island; half brother, David Eberle of Minden; and half sisters, Betty Beno of Minden and Shirley Jones of Ansley.
