Description	:	Virgil Jarvis Moye, 75, of Pearisburg, died Thursday, December 28, 1995 at his home following a long illness. Mr. Moye was a retired employee of the Hoechst-Celanese Corp., with 42 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II. He was born in Pearisburg on July 19, 1920, and was a son of the late Tom Moye and Dora Levit Moye. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Albert and Shirley Ramsey; and a daughter, Donna Moye Sanchez. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ilene Stewart Moye, Pearisburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Jane Moye, Pearisburg, Tommy and Sharon Moye, Pearisburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and James Hale, Pearisburg; three brothers, Forest Moye, Madison, Ind., Everett Moye, Pearisburg, John T. Moye, Narrows, three sisters, Vivian Akers, Pearisburg, Violet Philpott, Pearisburg, Hazel Brown, Martinsville; mother-in-law, Ethel Atwell, Pearisburg; five grandchildren, Shannon, Michelle, Scott, Krista, Ashley; two great-grandchildren, Jayke and Marinna Dale. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 30, 1995 at 2 p.m. in the Givens Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn and the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating, with interment in Birchlawn Burial Park. Military honors by Narrows American Legion Post 68, Pembroke American Legion Post 311, and Narrows V.F.W. Post 6000.
