Body will lie in state at the McKown chapel after 1 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Borland was a veteran of World War I, serving in Company L., 31st Infantry, from Jan. 26, 1918 to Nov. 13, 1920. He served with the Expeditionary Forcces in Siberia. Son of the late Hiram and May Bucher Borland, he was born at Tobias June 16, 1899 and later lived in Omaha, moving to Columbus 10 years ago. He operated a barber shop here until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, Theo; two stepdaughters, Miss Beverly Gray of Omaha and Mrs. Marilyn Buresh of West Brook, Minn.; four brothers, Fred and Harold of Omaha, Hiram of Altadena, Cal., and Bill of Beatrice. Two daughters and one sister preceded him in death.
