Hess Marilyn Louise Hess Virginia Alverda Beck, daughter of Charles and Sylvia Beck, was born at Cody, Nebraska on October 7, 1918 and departed this life on July 3, 1951, aged 32 years, eight months and 26 days. Her parents moved to Morrill, Nebraska when she was 12 years of age and she graduated from the Morrill High School and united with the Methodist Church there. She attended Chadron Normal College and taught school 2 years. She was united in marriage to Marvin Phillip Hess on February 1, 1941 to which union two children were born. They made their home first at Morrill, Nebraska, moving to Shelby, Nebraska in 1943. There remains to hold her memory dear, her husband Marvin; the two children; Robert Leonard and Marily Louise; her mother, Mrs. Sylvia Beck of Denver, Colorado; four brothers: Don Beck, Bryce Canyon, Utah; W.C.(Wes)Beck, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Carl Beck also of Cheyenne; L.J. (Jay) Beck, Minatare, Nebraska; a sister: Mrs. Howard Snow, Denver, Colorado; besides other relatives and a host of friends. Sometime when all life's lesons have been learned,and suns and stars forevermore have set, We shall see how all God's plamns are right. The things o'er which we grieved with lashes wet will flash before us out of life's dark night, As stars shine most in deeper tints of blue; And we shall see how all God's plans are right, And how what seems repoof, was love most true. Funeral services were held at the E.U.B.Church in Shelby, Nebraska on Friday, July 6, Rev. Riggs, pastor officiating. Pallbearers were: Francis McGimpsey, John T. Riblett, Daren Riblett, Lloyd Smith, Lloyd Whitmore, and Russell Smith. Those coming from a distance to attend the funeral service were: Don Beck of Bryce Canyon, Utah, Mr & Mrs. Carl Beck of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mr. & Mrs. L.J. Beck of Minitare, Nebraska, Wes Beck of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mrs. Margaret Snow and daughter Patty of Denver, Colorado, Mr. & Mrs. Wilzy Anderson of Grant City, Misssouri.
