Together they shared almost 25 years of marriage. Services and interment are being held privately by the family under the direction of Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC of Spring Grove and officiated by the Rev. Gerald Gingrich. (Shauck) Zartman, 80, entered into God's eternal care on Friday, March 5, 2010, at York Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Norman D. Zartman. Together they shared almost 25 years of marriage. Services and interment are being held privately by the family under the direction of Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC of Spring Grove and officiated by the Rev. Gerald Gingrich. Final resting place will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Virginia was born April 15, 1929, in Codorus Township, and was the daughter of the late Russell Shauck and Mary Ann Garver. She attended a one room schoolhouse near Sinsheim. She worked as a nursing assistant at Hanover Hall for over 15 years prior to retiring. She loved attending craft shows and collecting Longaberger baskets and teddy bears. She also enjoyed crocheting, but she cherished most her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Norman, she is survived by her daughters, Diane Wagner and her husband, Ed of York, Shirley Baker and her husband, Bob of East Berlin, and Kathleen Meissner and her husband, Charles of Seven Valleys; her step-daughters, Karen Lentz and her companion, Ronnie Dickensheets of York New Salem, Kathy Hunt and her husband, Tom of Seven Valleys, and Karla Waltersdorf and her husband, Bill of Spring Grove; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Anna Kime and her husband, Bob of New Oxford, and Betty Reaver of Hanover; her brothers, Kenneth Snyder of Dover, Donald Snyder and his companion, Ruth of Hanover, James Snyder and his companion, Jeanine of McSherrystown, and Jack Snyder of Hanover; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Rev. Stewart H. Bortner.
