Read More	Obituary From Ottumwa Courier, January 10, 1961: Mrs. Robert Pickrell Mrs. Virginia Ann Pickrell, 90, died at 8:30 this morning at the same farm home on route 4, Ottumwa, where she had lived for the past 45 years. She had been in ill health for some time. The last surviving child of the eight children of Daniel and Margaret Thompson Chapman, she was born March 20, 1870, in Newman Ill. She had resided in Wapello county most of her life. She was married on January 5, 1898, in Ottumwa to Robert L. Pickrell who died on March 2, 1950. Surviving her are five daughters, Mrs. Alta Larimore of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Margaret Chamberlain of Davenport, Mrs. Hazel Broich and Mrs. Helen Franklin, both of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Nora E. Walden of route 4, Ottumwa; three sons, John E. Pickrell and Robert L. Pickrell, both of route 4, Ottumwa, and Benjamin F. Pickrell of Moravia; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The Johnson funeral chapel is in charge of arrangements. --------------- "Pickrell Funeral," From Ottumwa Courier, January 11, 1961: Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ann Pickrell, 90, who died at her home on Ottumwa route 4 at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at th Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. Lawrence E. Jones, pastor of the Wesley Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Orville Johnston, Arthur Graham, Harold Swaim, Cecil Bates, Tullio Della Vedova and Clay Chapman.
