Description	:	Mrs. Virginia Ward Brown Worthington, 94, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Mrs. Worthington, daughter of the late Henry W. and Virginia Ward Brown, was a native of the Bethel community. She was a graduate of Bethel High School, where she played basketball. While playing Winterville High School, she met James Alton 'Buddy' Worthington, to whom she was married on October 13, 1935. She lived all her married life in Winterville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Larry E., and Caswell Brown; two sisters, Thelma B.
