Description	:	Virginia Grindstaff Gobble, 82, Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Hampton and daughter of the late Blake and Lucy Potter Guinn. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. George Allen Grindstaff, her son, David Grindstaff, and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. Read More	Virginia Grindstaff Gobble, 82, Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Hampton and daughter of the late Blake and Lucy Potter Guinn. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. George Allen Grindstaff, her son, David Grindstaff, and several brothers and sisters. She was a member of Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. Those left to cherish Virginia’s memory include her husband of forty eight years, Weldon Ray “Bud” Gobble, daughters: Lucy Dougherty and her husband Robert, Donna Jones and her fiancé Tyrel Branstutter, Brenattia “Bree” and her husband Ty; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters: Gladys Cox, Ellen Meyers and her husband Gene, Jacqueline Howell, Glenda Calvert; brothers: Robert Guinn and his wife Barbara, and Verlin Guinn; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will greet friends to share memories on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5:00 PM until a Celebration of Life Service at 7:00 PM at Keystone Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Jones, Pastor Bill Greer, and Pastor Nathan Jennings officiating. Rev. Roy Cooper will serve as an honorary minister. The family will also receive friends at Bud and Virginia’s home. A Graveside and Committal service will be held at Lyons Chapel Cemetery on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Active pallbearers will be Richard Burgner, Jimmy Workman, Alvin Zeolia, Ron Street, and John Stalcup. Jess “Bud” Gray will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.tetrickfuneralhome.com.
