Siblings: Mary Agnes Gervase Francis Vincent *********************************** Virgina (Watts) Lundstrom, life-long Ellensburg resident passed quietly Monday, April 21st at the age of 96. Born July 31st, 1911 to George and Margaret (Wippel) Watts, Virginia was the 4th of 6 children and the eldest daughter. She attended the local Catholic School and graduated from Aquinas Academy High School. As a young girl she worked alongside her parents and siblings at their farm on Water Street. There was never a shortage of work or love on the Watts farm. The family valued play time and Virginia loved to share stories of family picnics and life in Kittitas Valley. Virginia married Albert Lundstrom of Lundstrum Paint & Glass on May 9th 1934 in Tacoma and later repeated vows at St. Andrews. They moved into their home on 5th Street in 1935 and raised three daughters. Together, Virginia and Albert built a lifetime of memories for friends and family that gathered in that special house on 5th Street. In 1980, Albert passed away while fishing and illness forced Virginia to move to Kittitas Valley Rehab Center in 2001. Virginia worked as a bookkeeper for Lundstrum Paint & Glass as well as a carpet store. She was an avid sports fan and supported her teams in good times and bad. She was a devoted member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Virginia was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, role model, and friend to all she met. Loyalty, endurance, commitment, compassion, integrity, and sense of humor are gifts she gave those that knew her. She is survived by her two sisters, Mary DeBolt of Port Orchard and Agnes Kusske of Tacoma. Three daughters Arlene (Warren) Davis of Vancouver, WA, Roberta (Carroll) Gorg of Lake Oswego, OR and Donna (Eric) Giesy of Ellensburg. Eight grandchildren including Mike Giesy and Missy (Giesy) Stevenson of Ellensburg. Fourteen great-grandchildren including Reece Ravet, Tiana Giesy, and Shea Stevenson of Ellensburg. Five great-great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews including Pat Bailes and Dick (Karmen) Watts of Ellensburg, and special friend Morton Davis of Vancouver, WA. Preceeded in death, mother & father, three brothers (Gervase, Francis, Vincent (Trix) Watts), husband, and Grandson Brian Davis. The family wishes to thank Paul McVay and Kittitas Valley Rehab Center along with current and past staff for their tender and loving care of Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the Shelter in Virginia's name at 1206 W. Bender Rd, Ellensburg, WA 98926. Rosary to be held Monday, April 28th 6:00 pm at Steward & Williams Tribute Center 301 E Third Avenue Ellensburg, with a public viewing from 3-6pm. Funeral Mass is set for Tuesday, April 29th, 11:30 am at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 401 S Willow Street Ellensburg. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
