[Virginia] Campbell, 46, Bettendorf, actuary and appointive officer of Royal Neighbors of America, died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital after an extended illness. Private services will be held in Mount Zion Presbyterian Church, Keosauqua, Iowa. Burial will be in Forbes Cemetery, Keosauqua. The Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials May be made to the American Cancer Society or Mercy Hospital. Virginia Fahrner was born in Santa Rosa, Calif. She married Mr. Campbell in 1950 in Fairfield, Iowa. She attended Keosauqua High School and Northeast Missouri State Teachers' College, Kirksville, from both of which she graduated first in her class. In 1947 she received a master of science degree at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, with a major in actuarial mathematics. While in college she was employed as a physics instructor. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband; a daughter and a son, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie [& Iolene] Fahrner, Keosauqua; a sister, Mrs. Edwin [Betty] Bernhagen, Davenport; and a brother, Jack Fahrner, Dallas, Tex. - Published in The Davenport Times-Democrat on Thursday, Apr 20, 1972 (page 37) Virginia died of brain cancer.
