A native of Cannon County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Walter Haskell and Mary Frances Bogle Davenport. Mrs. Pitts was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Pitts, Sr., and a brother, Ralph Winford Davenport. Mrs. Pitts was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Pitts, Sr., and a brother, Ralph Winford Davenport. Mrs. Pitts is survived by her sons, Mitch and Mark Gilley both of Murfreesboro, TN, and Eddie Pitts and his wife Tonya of Smyrna, TN; daughters, Pat Hamby of Murfreesboro, TN, and Tammy Wall, and her husband Scott of Smyrna, TN; brothers, Wayne Davenport and his wife Joyce, Clifford Davenport and his wife Wanda, and Donald Davenport all of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Audrey Gordon and her husband Frank of Murfreesboro, TN, Rosie Moore and her husband Walter of Smyrna, TN, and Linda Young and her husband Kenneth of Murfreesboro, TN; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and her pet Tinker. Visitation will be held Saturday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Joe Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery, Woodbury, TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Pitts was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
