Description	:	Virginia M. Eilers, age 97, passed away July 20, 2020, at Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Tipton. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all who attend the visitation are encouraged to wear a mask and exercise social distancing within groups. Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. Crees was born March 5, 1923, on the family farm near Atalissa, the daughter of Herbert and Christena (Smith) Crees. She graduated from West Liberty School in 1941. She married Mearl Charles Eilers on June 29, 1966, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2004. She is survived by one nephew, John David Earhart of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Louise Earhart. Chapman Funeral Homes
