Description	:	daughter of Adam and Ella (Buseman) Winkowitsch Virginia Mae Klingborg, age 80, of Parkersburg, was born on May 1, 1932, in Wall, South Dakota, the daughter of Adam and Ella (Buseman) Winkowitsch. Her family moved to Iowa in 1934. Ginny attended county school and graduated 8th grade in Parkersburg. She worked for various mothers cooking, cleaning and helping with newborn babies in their homes. Ginny was united in marriage to Slim Kraus in October of 1950 in Waterloo, Iowa. They lived in a small apartment in Waterloo while she worked as an assistant manager for a department store. They moved to the farm after her mother-in-law became ill, caring for her until she passed away. Ginny and Slim then moved to Des Moines in 1959, where she worked as an information and PBX board operator for Northwest Bell Telephone Company. Ginny divorced Slim in 1968. Ginny married Carl Klingborg in Wall, South Dakota in 1969. They lived in Apache Junction, Arizona after marriage. She transferred to Southwest Bell Telephone Company, where she worked for eleven years, until she took an early retirement. Ginny and Carl traveled most of the United States, Mexico and Canada. She loved to fish on any river or lake, where she caught two trophy fish. They moved to Parkersburg in 1981 to be closer to both of their mothers. Carl passed away on April 30, 1994. Ginny was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, Iowa. She loved having a big garden. She enjoyed canning the vegetables she grew and sharing them with family and friends. She also loved driving and drove any chance that she could. Ginny and her two sisters, Micky and Betty formed a country gospel singing group, The Dakota Sisters in 1982. She played guitar and harmonica and for 24 years the group traveled over 2,000 miles sharing their ministry in music, and her testimony of how God changed her life, with nursing home residents and shut-ins. Ginny died Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Maple Manor Village in Aplington, of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carl Klingborg; ex-husband S.M. Kraus; one brother, Duane Winkowitsch; one sister, Evelyn (John) Tjabring; two sisters-in-law, Frances and Christina Winkowitsch. Ginny is survived by one step-son, David (Diane) Klingborg, Mesa Arisona; one step-daughter, Karleen Singh, Mesa, Arizona; two step-grandchildren, Laura Miller and Karla Singh; one step-great grandson, David Miller; two brothers, Francis Winkowitsch, Aplington, Iowa, and Lawrence Winkowitsch, Ackley, Iowa; four sisters, Viola Smiens of Loveland, Colorado, Betty (Lanny) Blohm of Dumont, Mickey Moore of Aplington and Minnie Miller of Iowa Falls; one sister-in-law, Nancy of Quincy, Illinois; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 3, 2012, at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center with burial in Bethel Reformed Cemetery, rural Aplington. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg, (319)346-1534 and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be directed to the family.
