Description	:	Virginia Mae Van Dolah was born August 11, 1932 in Rago, KS, daughter of Arnold and Maude Mae (Hundley) Reida. She was one of five children and her family lived in the southern part of Kingman County. This is where Virginia grew up and attended school, graduating from Adams High School in 1950. Read More	Virginia Mae Van Dolah was born August 11, 1932 in Rago, KS, daughter of Arnold and Maude Mae (Hundley) Reida. She was one of five children and her family lived in the southern part of Kingman County. This is where Virginia grew up and attended school, graduating from Adams High School in 1950. On June 10, 1950, Virginia was united in marriage with Clarence Cledys Van Dolah at the Christian Church in Kingman, Kansas. This union was blessed with four children: David Ray, Amy Jean, Dwight Alan and Joy Ellen. They made their home on a farm in Kingman County. In 1973, they moved to Harper, Kansas and Virginia worked at the Harper Hospital as a CNA for 30 years. A member of the Anthony Christian Church, Virginia enjoyed teaching Sunday school and loved teaching God’s Word. She was an avid reader and a sports enthusiast. Most of all, Virginia loved her family and her grandchildren held a very special place in her life. On January 29, 2016, Virginia passed away at her home near Gypsum, Kansas, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 8 days. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence C. Van Dolah; daughter-in-law, Barbara Van Dolah; son-in-law, Tony Molina; grandson, Michael Loggins II; sister, Zelda Palmer; and brother, Gale Reida. Virginia will be deeply missed by her children: David Van Dolah of Harper, KS, Amy Molina and Brad Holm of Gypsum, KS, Dwight Van Dolah and wife, Kelli of Guthrie, OK and Joy Van Dolah and John Bellamy of Jet, OK; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Clara Mary Reida of Colorado; brother, Ray Reida of Rago, KS; and a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Anthony Christian Church with Rod Rieger officiating. Interment will follow at the Harper Cemetery. Memorials may be given in memory of Virginia to the Special Olympics or the Anthony Christian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home. Friends may register from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Harper. Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 613 W. 14th ~ Harper, KS 67068 is in charge of the arrangements.
