Description	:	Virginia M. Weller, 77, of Hancock, MD, died Saturday, July 8, 2000 at the home of her daughter, Joyce Fields of Greencastle, PA. Born May 17, 1923 in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin R. and Bessie Hoke Weller and the widow of Clarence W. Weller who died March 8, 1990. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Orchard Ridge First Church of God and she was a member of the Women's Ministries of Orchard Ridge. Weller, 77, of Hancock, MD, died Saturday, July 8, 2000 at the home of her daughter, Joyce Fields of Greencastle, PA. Born May 17, 1923 in Hancock, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin R. and Bessie Hoke Weller and the widow of Clarence W. Weller who died March 8, 1990. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Orchard Ridge First Church of God and she was a member of the Women's Ministries of Orchard Ridge. She was caretaker and treasurer of the Orchard Ridge Cemetery for over 50 years. She is survived by three daughters, Joyce Fields of Greencastle, Kay Clark of Hagerstown, MD and Darlene Dreyer of Mesa, AZ; one sister, Leona Fritz of Mercersburg, PA; three grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Fritz and Edna Frohnaple; and three brothers, Roy Weller, Geary Weller and John Weller. Services will be held Friday, July 14, at 11 a.m. at the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, with the Rev. Jeff Hawbaker officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main Street, Hancock, on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home Care, Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the Orchard Ridge Cemetery Association, 14128 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, MD 21750.
