She was a Homemaker, a lifetime member of the Eastern Star (Center Hill Lodge) and a member of the New Union The Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 20, 2018 in the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 20, 2018 in the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Brother Garry McBride and Brother Marty Hensley are scheduled to officiate and burial will be held immediately following the funeral service in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from Noon until 8pm and on Tuesday from 10am until the service time at 1pm all at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Mrs. Rankhorn was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Thurman and Lula Lakey Ray; her Husband John Lenard Rankhorn; 6 Sisters-Imogene Rogers, Lois Ray, Ruth Ray and she is also preceded by three more infant sisters; 5 Brothers-Burnice, George, J.T., Clayton, and Donald Ray; 1 Daughter-Sharon Bouldin, and 2 Grandsons-Keilin and Carson Hensley. Survivors include 2 Daughters and sons-in-law-Carolyn and Garry McBride of Smithville, and Tamara and Marty Hensley of Rock Island; 1 Son-Michael Rankhorn of Smithville, 7 Grandchildren- Chris (Betsy) McBride of Quebec, Stephanie (Jeff) Walls of Rock Island, Jennifer (Paul) Davis of McMinnville, Natalie (Mike) Jennings of Cookeville, Johnna Hensley and her fiancé Bobby Wright of Sparta, Peyton Hensley and Elijah Hensley both of Rock Island. 13 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren also survive.
