Kenneth died in 1971. On January 2, 1978, Virginia married Delbert Baker in Nashua, Iowa. Delbert died in 2005. Virginia Rose Baker was born in Boone, Iowa on November 28, 1924, the daughter of Albert and Lydia (Schroeder) Ford. She married Kenneth LaVerne Coghlan on August 3, 1942 in Missouri. Kenneth died in 1971. On January 2, 1978, Virginia married Delbert Baker in Nashua, Iowa. Delbert died in 2005. Virginia was a homemaker and also worked as a cook at the Iowa State University Memorial Union in Ames, retiring in 1986. She loved to cook and bake, enjoyed her daily coffee group at McDonald’s, and she loved doing Word Search books. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Kenneth and Delbert, a daughter Jo Ellen Coghlan, two sons-in-law, Denis Slagle and Stanley Anderson, and three sisters, Arlene Matson, Pearl Lynch, and Norma Hanson. Virginia is survived by two daughters, Linda Anderson of Boone and Barbara Coghlan Slagle of Elmhurst, Illinois; a brother Larry Ford and wife Nancy of Minneapolis, Minnesota; four grandchildren, Sheri Nordholm of Boone, Julie Clayton and husband Denny of Van Meter, Michelle Reiff and husband Roger of Boone, and Stephanie Reifenrath and husband Todd of Elmhurst, Illinois; nine great grandchildren, Conner Nordholm, Tyler, Kelsey, and Kailey Reetz, Mekenzie and Parker Reiff, Eli and Owen Reifenrath, and Hunter Nordholm Sobolik; and one great-great grandson, Ryan Reetz.
