F. Powell. Mr. Hudgins had observed his birthday Feb. 8, the party assembling to honor the aged citizen the following day. Mr. Hudgins was born at Laban on Garden Creek in 1846. F. Powell. Mr. Hudgins had observed his birthday Feb. 8, the party assembling to honor the aged citizen the following day. Mr. Hudgins was born at Laban on Garden Creek in 1846. He lived through three wars, the War Between the States, Spanish-American and World War (I). The family moved to Gwynn's Island when Mr. Hudgins was in his teens. Eight of Mr. Hudgins ten children are living. At one time he lived on the Piankitank but sold the old home 11 years ago on the death of his wife. He now resides with a daughter, Mrs. Belle Mitchum. The family includes 25 grand children and 25 great-grand children. Those attending included Mrs. E. H. Riggs, Norfolk; Mr. and Mrs. R. L.
