Description	:	Vivian A. Trapp, 93, of Marion, died at the Oakes Community Hospital in Oakes. Vivian Anna Hill Trapp was born 13 miles south of Ellendale, in Brown County, S.D., to Mead and Bertha (Clark) Hill. Vivian moved with her family to a farm northeast of Marion, where she grew up and attended country school. She completed her high school years in Oakes. Vivian Anna Hill Trapp was born 13 miles south of Ellendale, in Brown County, S.D., to Mead and Bertha (Clark) Hill. Vivian moved with her family to a farm northeast of Marion, where she grew up and attended country school. She completed her high school years in Oakes. Vivian attended college at Ellendale Normal School in Ellendale. After completing her college education, Vivian taught school at Lehr, Oakes and finally in Stirum, N.D. Vivian married Lyle H. Trapp on June 3, 1939 at LaMoure. The couple farmed and raised their family at Marion. Lyle died Jan. 14, 1970. Vivian continued to make her home in Marion after Lyle's passing. Vivian was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Marion, the United Methodist Women of the church, a bible camp leader, Marion Senior Citizens and a member of WCTU. Vivian also enjoyed quilting. Vivian made a hand made quilt for all of her family members. Vivian is survived by her children: Merlin (Connie Knecht) Trapp, Marion; Ron (Joan) Trapp, Marion; Harvey (Fran) Trapp, Bismarck; and Vione (Keith) McCleary, Marion; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; three half-sisters, Janice Isley, Fargo; Marlys Swanson, Denver, Colo.; and LaVonne (Mike) Hoffman, Cogswell; one step-sister, Rosella Anderson, Dickinson. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Alvin and Irving Hill, one sister, Violet White, one half-brother, Victor Hill, and a daughter-in-law, Doris Trapp. The funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 21, 2007, in Grace United Methodist Church in Marion, with Rev. Rodney Ulmer officiating. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the Lerud-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday in the Lerud-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour before services in the church Tuesday morning. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Marion. Arrangements are with Lerud-Johnson-Schuldt Funeral Home of Valley City.
