Description	:	Vivian L. Ravenscroft, 72, of Oldtown, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born Jan. 23, 1946, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Iris R. (Nethers) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald G. Ravenscroft, on Jan. 9, 2018; and her brother, John Davis. Vivian was a member of the Oldtown Baptist Fellowship and considered her fellow church members part of her family. Born Jan. 23, 1946, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Iris R. (Nethers) Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald G. Ravenscroft, on Jan. 9, 2018; and her brother, John Davis. Vivian was a member of the Oldtown Baptist Fellowship and considered her fellow church members part of her family. She was a kind, generous person who never met a stranger. As a friendly person who liked everyone, she was truly fond of being around people. Vivian enjoyed camping, fishing, going to cash bashes, and spending time with her family. She didn't like to stay still - she always wanted to be on the go. Surviving are her children, Tina Ravenscroft and William Kesner, Oldtown, and Rodney Ravenscroft, Oldtown; granddaughter, Angela Dolly and husband, Justin, Flintstone; great-grandchildren, Bryson Troutman, Olivia Dolly, and Conor Dolly; and several nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to her as "Aunt Boogie." Mom loved her great-grandchildren more than life itself. She leaves behind a family, her special friends, and her two dogs that loved her very much and will really miss her. Vivian battled pancreatic cancer for three and a half years, and she was doing very well until recently. The family would like to thank Dr. Zaman and the staff of the WMHS Cancer Center for everything they did for our mom. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Pastor George Hopkins officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Oldtown Cemetery.
