Description	:	Vivian L. Fallbeck Petersen, 92, of Fremont passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Cook to Charles and Maude (Marshall) Sears. She was one of 11 children. She married Milford Fallbeck on Jan. 1, 1939, in Nebraska City, and they moved to South Dakota where they farmed for many years near Dempster, Estelline and Clear Lake, S.D. Fallbeck Petersen, 92, of Fremont passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Cook to Charles and Maude (Marshall) Sears. She was one of 11 children. She married Milford Fallbeck on Jan. 1, 1939, in Nebraska City, and they moved to South Dakota where they farmed for many years near Dempster, Estelline and Clear Lake, S.D. They relocated to a farm near Hooper in 1959 and she began her employment at the former Campbell Soup Company in Fremont, where she worked for 21 years. Her husband, Milford, died on March 12, 1962. Vivian then moved to Fremont. After retirement, she cared for her ailing mother and several elderly ladies. She volunteered as a Red Cross aide and delivered for Meals on Wheels. She also worked part time for McDonald’s and Wendy’s. In November 1987, she married John Petersen and worked beside him in his garden until his death on August 2, 1993. They loved to dance and attended dances every weekend in Fremont and Colon. Vivian was a member of First Congregational Church, U.C.C. in Fremont. Survivors include: son, Roy Fallbeck of Mesa, Ariz.; daughters Jeannine Kelley of San Antonio and Connie Souza of Omaha; sister, Helen Linn of Auburn; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
